Sekonda Watches Review
(Britain's Favorite Watch Brand)
Sekonda have a long history of producing affordable quality watches in the UK. In fact, they have been doing so since 1966.
Originally they were famous for their quality watches with Russian produced movements, but things have long since changed. They now source their internals from Asia, but as we all know with quality brands all coming from that region (Seiko, Citizen etc) that does not mean they are cheap.
In fact, Sekonda, unlike most brands at this price point, are still known for producing top-quality watches that will last you for a long time. And all that for usually under one hundred dollars, or less.
They have, of course, modernised with the onset of all those fashion brands taking to watch making, and now they have a new line called Seksy Rocks. I have shown of few of those models later on in the review.
But in essence, Sekonda, especially in the UK, are still well-known and loved for their affordable and stylish watches.
Now, let’s see what kinds of watches they have to offer…
1. Sekonda 1224 Classic
No products found.
Sekonda’s Classic is a dress watch that boasts a stunning sunray blue dial that will certainly have you standing out from the crown. The simple styling of all stainless steel – case, bracelet, hour markers and hands work seamlessly.
It comes with a day/date window which is easy to read without being overly obtrusive. And it also has 50m water resistance, which is a little higher than most dress watches in this price range.
- Quartz movement
- Mineral Sapphire Coated Crystal
- Stainless steel strap with fold-over safety clasp
- Day/Date window at 3 o'clock
- Water resistance: 50m (165ft)
- Case size: 40 x 10mm
2. Sekonda 1624 Diver
No products found.
I could not go much further into this review without throwing in a Rolex Submariner (or is it Seiko Pepsi) diver homage, and this one from Sekonda is a bargain too.
With all the trappings of a good dive watch with the Pepsi bezel, crown guards, stainless steel all around and easy to read, lumed hour markers and hands, all the boxes are ticked. The only thing missing, which is typical of a low-end dive watch, is serious water resistance. At only 50m, you won’t be taking this diving, that’s for sure.
However, if you are just after a Submariner style diver, it’s worth checking out. And, there are a number of styles and band choices, many of which I have shown below. Just click on the image.
- Quartz movement
- Date window at 3 o'clock
- Stainless steel bracelet with deployant clasp
- Water resistance: 50m (165ft)
- Case size: 40mm

3. Sekonda Chronograph 3847
No products found.
This clean and stylish rose-gold chronograph is a popular model for a reason. Not only do you get a sophisticated looking watch you can wear to work or out on the town, you also get a chronograph/timer, date window and a tachymeter.
The dial is clean, with long bar hour markers, also covered in lume for low-light. The date window has a touch of red, to highlight it and add a little something to the overall look. Adding a crocodile leather strap has also brought the watch up to more of a dress level, for those that want something less sporty.
Sekonda has quite a few options that are similar, if this model does not exactly meet all your needs too. I have added some in images below you can click through to Amazon on.

4. Sekonda Aviator Watch 3347
No products found.
Following the classic aviator watch style (and looking very much like the Seiko SNK models) this watch is simple, durable and a great daily beater.
It comes with many of the markings of the original German aviator watches – two rings of numbers (although in this case 24hr time on the inner ring, not minutes) as well as the arrow at 12 o’clock.
The dial is very easy to read with lume in all the right spots, and the crown nice and big to grip and protected by a small guard as well.
The addition of a small date window at 6 o’clock is not obtrusive, but big enough to read at a pinch. And the nylon strap screams “practical” over style, but is again typical of such a watch.
- Quartz movement
- Alloy case with a nylon strap
- Water resistance: 50m (165ft)
- Case size: 42 x 10mm
5. Sekonda Digital Chronograph 1036
No products found.
Not forgetting those of you who love digital watches like the famous Casio G Shocks, this mdel from Sekonda has all the features you need in a great sports watch.
Starting with 100m water resistance, you also get a 1/100th second chronograph, a countdown timer and 5 alarms. The red hands make it a cinch to read, and the all plastic case and strap will ensure it does not break should you happen to bang it while out doing what you love.
- Digital watch with chronograph
- Mineral crystal
- Plastic case and strap
- Water resistance: 100m (330ft)
- Case size: 51 x 20mm
6. Sekonda Seksy Rocks Swarovski 2372
No products found.
A more recent collection from Sekonda is their Seksy Rocks range. With the slogan – Be Bold, Be Seksy, they are aiming at a younger market with a lot of extra bling on these watches.
This particular model is popular with the ladies and features Swarovski crystal around the dial as well as on the band. It comes in a modern rose-gold color with silver also intertwined in the bracelet.
If you are looking for a watch that will get people’s attention, this is certainly it. There are also dozens of variations and models in this range in case you want something a little different.
- Quartz movement
- Swarovski crystal setting
- Rose gold plated
- Water resistance: 30m (100ft)

7. Sekonda Women's Blue Dial 2144
No products found.
Another stunning watch from Sekonda for ladies is this Diamante stone, dark blue dial with a rose-gold plated case. The band is an extra thin, blue leather blue, to match the dial, and gives this watch a very unique style.
The rest of the face is clean with rose-gold baton hour markers and small, unobtrusive hands.
Sekonda also has some similar elegant ladies models which I have shown below.
- Swiss Quartz movement
- Mineral Sapphire Coated Crystal
- Stainless steel case and bracelet
- Water resistance: 30m (100ft)
- Case size: 40mm
