The only issue might be the standard push down crown (as opposed to the screw down crown usually used for diving watches), but that’s the worst thing I can say about this Seiko 5 watch.

Also, The stainless steel bracelet features brushed links on the outside with a middle row of polished links, for a more elegant appearance.
This watch is also water resistant up to 30 meters, but it’s not intended for swimming. It has a very simple crown that won’t do much in terms of keeping water out of the mechanism. The water resistance is there merely to ensure that it can withstand the occasional splash.
The SRPD95 watch is from Seiko 5’s Suits Style series, so it’s a bit classier than the others. It features a minimal stainless steel case that barely extends under the bezel. But it’s still a pretty wide case at 42.5mm, making this watch best for people with larger wrists. There’s hardlex crystal on both sides of the case, protecting both the dial and the exposed automatic movement.
The classic black dial features luminous hands and hour markings and it’s encircled by a ring with minute markings. The ring outside the dial is white, so it’s really easy to read it during the day. Also, this watch features a unidirectional rotating bezel as well as good water resistance (up to 100 meters), so you can even take it for a spin underwater.
It’s not a proper diving watch though, since it lacks that screw down crown that protects the mechanism from water. The bracelet is silicone, and it features a rather stylish beaded design. It’s also really lightweight, which balances the watch pretty well, since the bulky case is quite heavy.

Seiko 5 Sports SRPC59 watch is a great option if you’re looking for a diving watch specifically. It features a generous 45mm stainless steel case with a rubber band and a transparent case back. The automatic mechanism with 24 jewels is exposed, allowing you to admire it in all its glory.
Also, this Seiko 5 watch is equipped with a unidirectional diving bezel that lets you track how long you’ve been underwater. It is orange for the most part, so it should be really easy to read in the dark. The same goes for the dial but not because it’s orange – it’s not – but because of the lume in the hands and time markings.
This is a diving watch so it’s no surprise that it’s water resistant up to 100 meters. However, it boasts a push crown – the preferred option for diving watches is a screw down crown since it’s much safer for underwater adventures. But if you’re certain you won’t accidentally bump it underwater; I don’t see why this wouldn’t work as a diving watch.
One thing I want to comment on is the rubber band. Your first instinct might be that Seiko’s cheaping out here, but I don’t think they are. Silicone rubber is a lightweight material often used in sports watches because of its excellent durability. The entire watch weighs just 12 ounces, which is pretty impressive considering how large the steel case is.
The Seiko 5 SNE329 looks like a rather simple sports watch until you realize it’s solar-powered. And that feature is just cool enough to make us forget all about that fixed bezel ad basic nylon strap!
This watch features a 43mm stainless steel case with hardlex crystal. It has a nylon band that’s not very elegant, but which is exceptionally durable and resistant to elements. And the Japanese quartz movement is solar powered, which means you’ll never have to change the batteries in the watch. Just wear it when it’s sunny outside and it will keep charging itself.
This is really great for hikers and generally people who spend a lot of time in the nature. The excellent durability is a must for watches you wear in rugged conditions, while the solar feature means you’ll never run out of juice in the watch.
On top of that, this Seiko 5 watch is water resistant up to 100 meters, so it’s perfectly suitable for swimming. And it has luminous hands and time markers, so it will be really easy to tell time even in the dark. However, the lack of a rotating bezel and screw down crown don’t make this a good option for diving and I would recommend you avoid going scuba diving with this Seiko 5 watch.

What’s interesting about this watch is that it has a smaller dial with hour markings and then a pretty wide bezel around the dial with minute markings. The hour and minute markings are all Arabic numerals, making the dial quite busy.
But it’s not confusing and it’s easily legible even in the dark, thanks to the luminous accents on all three hands. Also, there’s a day and date window at the three o’clock position, so you do get some extra features.
The outer bezel is fixed and the watch is water resistant only up to 30 meters, so it’s not a great option for swimming or diving. It can survive the occasional splash, but you shouldn’t keep it submerged for longer periods of time. Especially since the crown at four o’clock is a basic push-down crown.
If you want a show-stopping watch, this is certainly one that should be high up your list. It’s gold-toned so it looks extravagant and luxurious, but it’s actually made from stainless steel and it doesn’t cost a small fortune.
The watch features a 37mm case with a fixed bezel, which makes it a decent option for a dress watch. The hardlex crystal does an excellent job at protecting the dial and ensuring you can easily read it even in direct sunlight.
The hour markings and hands are luminous for easy legibility in the dark, which is a convenient additional feature. But considering this whole watch shines bright like a diamond, I wouldn’t call it a necessary feature. It is water resistant up to 30 meters, but it’s by no means designed to be a proper diving watch.

Seiko 5 SNKK27 is a rather unique sports watch from the brand. It has a smaller 38mm stainless steel case with a fixed bezel, but the dial design more than makes up for the simple exterior. And there’s also the transparent case back that exposes the automatic movement with 21 jewels, so you can admire it in action.
It’s a self-winding watch, so as long as you wear it often it will keep ticking. The bracelet is also made from stainless steel and it features a push-button deployment clasp that keeps it secured to your wrist.
The blue dial features luminous dashes for the hours markings, except in the three o’clock position where you’ll find the day and date windows. The first third of the dial (12-4) is orange and stands out from the rest, making the watch look much more interesting. But other than matching this part of the dial with the second hand, there’s really no other purpose to the different color.
Also, the dial features Arabic numerals for minute markings just below those luminous hour markings. And there are dashes in between the hour markings, making it easier to track exactly how many seconds have elapsed.
On top of all that, the hour and minute hands are also luminous. And the watch is water resistant up to 30 meters, but it’s not suitable for showering, let alone swimming or diving.
