The Citizen Promaster Navihawk Blue Angels is a modern aviator timepiece that has all the bells and whistles you need. Even if you are a pilot working for American Airlines!
Of course, like most Citizen watches, it comes with their trademarked solar-driven Eco-Drive movement. So, forget about running out of juice when you least expect it.
The dial is chock full of helpful tools including a rotating blue compass bezel. An inner ring for aligning the world time which reaches 24 different cities. Three completely unrelated sub-dials that do everything from power indictor, highlighting modes and various timekeeping functions. They also have a fun screwed-in look that makes them look more like instruments than standard watch dials.
The standout color elements on this deep blue angel are the yellow second hand and ring on the crown. Citizen has also built in some surprisingly expensive features like shock-resistance and anti-magnetism. As well as radio-controlled atomic timekeeping to ensure you are always on time.
There is also a standard chronograph and perpetual calendar built into the watch as well as an almost missable date window snuck in between the sub-dials at 4 o’clock.
All in all, if you like the Aviator style that a watch like the Navihawk provides, but want something a little more “stand-out from the crowd” then this might just be the watch for you.
