Montblanc Summit 2

At first glance, the Summit 2 looks like a standard Montblanc watch with numeral markings, interesting hands and sapphire crystal. But then you realize that you’re looking at a display and that this is actually a smart watch! Which means that the original watch face you saw is just one of the many different options you can set up on the Summit 2.

It features Google’s Wear OS, which is compatible with iPhones and Androids. The 43.5mm stainless steel case has two buttons on the side and a rotating crown that you use to navigate the watch. It comes with a leather deployment clasp strap out the box, but you can purchase an additional strap if you want. Montblanc offers leather, nylon and rubber straps at the moment, and they’re all priced the same.

The Summit 2 has all the functionalities of a great smart watch. It has NFC, GPS and a heart rate monitor, so you can easily use it for fitness and health tracking. And you have full access to Google Assistant, which might just be the best thing about it. Some of the features will work better with Android phones because that’s the native platform for Wear OS.

The main issue I have with the Summit 2 is that the charging cable is micro USB. It makes sense not to include a USB type-C since the Summit 2 has been around since 2018 though – a newer version might be around the corner, and I’ll be sure to update this when it comes out!

Specifications

  • 43.5mm stainless steel case
  • Sapphire crystal glass
  • Google Wear OS
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 3100 processor
  • 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage
  • GPS, NFC, heart rate monitor
  • Water resistant up to 50 meters
Montblanc TimeWalker Black Dial Men's Chronograph Rubber Watch 116101

Montblanc TimeWalker Chronograph

The TimeWalker Chronograph is a great example why we’re willing to spend such ludicrous sums on watches. The dial has a lot going on, but it still doesn’t look cluttered. Instead, it looks sophisticated, and provides you with all the info you could possible need from your watch.

The back side of the TimeWalker is even more beautiful since it is completely transparent. You can see parts of the watch movement that are protected with durable sapphire crystal glass. Both the front and the back of the watch are protected with sapphire, so there are zero worries about impact and scratch resistance.

This is a chronograph watch, so you do get all the smaller dials on the face of the watch. However, you don’t get a tachymeter bezel that’s so common with chronographs; instead you get a unidirectional rotating bezel that is usually featured in diver’s watches. The watch is water resistant up to 100 meters, so you could use it for diving if you’re not too worries about running the leather band. But it has a standard push crown, which isn’t the best option for underwater use.

Specifications

  • 43mm black stainless steel
  • 22mm leather bracelet with deployment clasp
  • Sapphire glass on front and back
  • Water resistant up to 100 meters
  • Automatic movement
  • Unidirectional rotating bezel
Montblanc 1858 Geosphere Automatic Black Dial Men's Watch 119286

Montblanc 1858 Geosphere

The 1858 Geoshpere watch is Montblanc’s homage to the Seven Summit Mountaineering challenge. This is thought to be the holy grail of mountaineering adventures, and the entire watch is one big dedication to it. Just look at its back side and you will see exactly what I mean.

The thing that’s unique about the Geosphere watch is that it features two domed globes on the dial. They turn in opposite directions, and they each complete a full rotation in 24 hours. Around these domes you can see the different time zones and whether it’s night or day in them, allowing you to check the time anywhere in the world just by glancing at your wrist.

And you’ll be able to tell time in the dark, since the watch features lume in both domes, as well as the hands, markings and the bezel. This Montblanc watch features a domed sapphire crystal glass cover with anti/reflective coating and a titanium case for ultimate durability. It is water resistant up to 100 meters and it features a bi-directional bezel that indicates the sides of the world.

Specifications

  • 42mm titanium case
  • Domed sapphire crystal glass cover
  • Water resistant up to 100 meters
  • Bi-directional turning bezel
  • Dual time indication
Montblanc Star Legacy Automatic Silver Dial Men's Watch 116508

Montblanc Star Legacy Moonphase

The Star Legacy Moonphase is an elegant dress watch from Montblanc. The dial is stunningly simple, allowing the leaf shaped hands to pop and draw attention. And if that’s not enough to get the conversation going, just show them the smaller dial that keeps track of the date and moon phases.

The gorgeous dial is housed in a 42mm stainless steel case and protected with domed sapphire crystal. There’s sapphire in the back of the watch as well because the back side is transparent and allows you to admire the automatic movement.

This is one of Montblanc’s smaller watches, so it will look best on men and women with more petite hands. In general it gives off that elegant and fragile vibe, which I fear might look out of place on someone who finds a 55mm case to be the perfect fit.

I told you this was a dress watch, so don’t expect outstanding versatility from it. It’s water resistant up to 30 meters only, and the leather band is certainly not meant to be submerged underwater.

Specifications

  • 42mm stainless steel case
  • Sapphire crystal class on front and back
  • Date and moon phase indicator
  • Fixed bezel
  • 21mm lug-to-lug width

Montblanc Heritage Chronometrie Quantieme

The Heritage Chronometrie watch from Montblanc is absolutely incredibly. It has 35+ Arabic numerals on the dial, but it still looks simple and elegant. On top of those numbers, the dial also features markings for minutes, day and month windows and a smaller dial that keeps track of moon phases. The hands are long, elegant and they easily stand out from the dial.

The intriguing dial of the Heritage watch is housed in a 40mm stainless steel case with a polished finish. And the stainless steel bracelet also features a shiny polished finish that looks sleek and sophisticated, with a deployment clasp that ensures it’s secure on your wrist.

Also, the dial is covered with sapphire crystal glass, as it the back of the watch. The movement is particularly exposed, so you can admire the beauty of the Heritage even if you’re not looking at that eye catching dial.

This watch features Swiss automatic movement and it is self-winding. It has a power reserve of 42 hours, so you will get a lot out of frequent wear. On top of that, it’s water resistant up to 30 meters, but it’s not really meant to be used underwater. The push down crown, lack of lume and fixed bezels are not features of a diving watch, so it’s safe to assume that the Heritage is meant to get through a shower at the most.

Specifications

  • 40mm polished stainless steel case and bracelet
  • Sapphire crystal on front and back
  • Moon phase and calendar features
  • Automatic self-winding movement
  • Water resistant up to 30 meters
106466 Mont Blanc Star Chronograph Men Watch

Montblanc Star Legacy Chronograph

This watch is from the same collection as the Star Legacy Moonphase one, but it feature an entirely different design. The basics are the same – there’s a fixed bezel, the leaf hands are slim and elegant, and the leather bracelet really makes it a proper dress watch. But the Chronograph model features better functionality with the three mini dials that allow you to keep track of elapsed time.

If you’d rather be certain that you’ll end your work presentation exactly when you should than show people the phases of the moon, you’ll enjoy this model from the Star Legacy collection more.

The Star Legacy Chronograph is an automatic watch capable of storing 48 hours of power. It has a 39mm stainless steel case and crown that are water resistant up to 30 meters. The domed shape glass is sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, which is the best you can hope for. The leather strap is adjustable and has a deployment buckle that keeps it secured to your wrist.

Additionally, the dial of this watch features day and date windows at the three o’clock position, which are easy to read. In fact, thanks to that anti-reflective coating, everything about the watch is easily legible even in direct sunlight.

Specifications

  • 39mm stainless steel case and crown
  • Water resistant up to 30 meters
  • Domes sapphire crystal glass cover
  • Chronograph functionality
  • Capable of storing up to 48 hours of power
  • Leather bracelet with deployment clasp
Montblanc 4810 Automatic Black Dial Men's Watch 115935

Montblanc 4810 Automatic Black Dial Men's Watch

The 4810 Automatic watch is one Montblanc’s simpler and more affordable options. It doesn’t have too many impressive features like we’ve seen on some other options from the brands and it’s great for people who don’t need a chronograph or a rotating bezel.

This watch features a 42mm stainless steel case with a 20mm stainless steel bracelet. The outer bracelet links have a polished finish, while the middle row of links features a brushed matte finish, giving the watch a unique look.

The silver time markings and hands are contrasted with the black dial, making the watch easily legible even in direct sunlight. And the sapphire crystal glass that protects the dial has excellent scratch and impact resistance, ensuring that the 4810 Automatic watch will look good as new for a long time.

There’s a date window at the six o’clock position, which is the only ‘extra’ feature of the Montblanc watch. While the watch face might look plain, you do get a bit of oompf when you turn it around. The transparent case back exposes the automatic movement, allowing you to admire that mechanism in action.

Specifications

  • 42mm stainless steel case with fixed bezel
  • 20mm stainless steel bracelet with push button deployment clasp
  • Sapphire crystal glass cover
  • Transparent case back
  • Water resistant up to 50 meters
  • Date window at six o’clock

Montblanc Homage To Nicolas Rieussec Watch

If you want a watch that will make people stop in the middle of a conversation just to ask you what that thing on your wrist is, this is the one to buy. The Homage to Nicolas Rieussec watch is a limited-edition design from Montblanc, which means that there aren’t many of these out in the wild. It’s not a new design, but it certainly is a unique one.

The first thing you notice about the watch is that it doesn’t feature a standard, full sized dial. Instead, it takes a little more than a half of the watch face, with two smaller dials below it. And then you notice that the main dial doesn’t even have hour markings on it, so what’s going on there?

Well, there are actually hour markings on the main dial, but you can’t see them in sunlight. They are embedded into the ceramic hour ring, and they’re actually luminous numerals, so you can only see them properly in the dark. But it’s easy to tell time even without them, since the position of the minute markings easily notes the hour as well.

The two chronographs below are unique in their own way. Instead of the hands moving around the dials, this Montblanc watch actually features dials that move around the hands. There’s a date indicator at three o’clock and a day/night indicator at nine o’clock, which is perhaps the least useful feature of this stunning limited-edition watch.

It’s mostly made from stainless steel with a leather bracelet and a sapphire crystal cover. The back side of the watch is transparent, allowing you to see the movement mechanism in all its glory.

Specifications

  • Automatic movement with 72 hour power reserve
  • 43mm stainless steel case
  • Water resistant up to 30 meters
  • Luminous hands and hour markings
  • Chronograph function
  • Date, day/night windows
  • 22mm leather bracelet with deployment clasp
