When it comes to dive watches there are hundreds of different models and brands available. From the Rolex Submariner to the Seiko SKX range they vary a lot in price.

However, one thing you don’t see a lot of is white dial dive watches. And there is a reason for that, because dive watches should have high contrast dials that are easily legible. Sure, there some orange dive watches as well, but white is also a little like the white tiger, rare indeed!

So, I decided to go on the hunt, but this time for white dial dive watches and this is what I found…

ORIENT Men's 'Mako XL' Japanese Automatic Stainless Steel Diving Watch

Orient Mako XL Dive Watch

Orient is one of Seiko’s brands that not many people know about and they certainly know how to make quality watches.

They have two very popular dive watches, the Ray and this one the Mako. They are both very similar and have many of the features your classic dive watch has.

This particular model of the Mako is the extra-large (XL) as it is 3mm wider than the standard. Although it is still reasonably sized for an automatic dive watch.

What is surprising about this model is the white dial, which is why it’s in this review. However, with sliver hands and hour markers, it is certainly not the easiest to read!

Specifications

  • Japanese automatic movement
  • Mineral Crystal
  • Stainless steel case & bracelet
  • Day/Date window at 3 o'clock
  • Water-resistant: 200m (660 feet)
  • Case size: 44.5mm

Victorinox Swiss Army I.N.O.X. Pro Diver Watch

Victorinox has been into watches for a while now and the INOX range is renowned for its almost invincible construction.

This particular model is a white dial dive watch so worthy of inclusion in this review.

It is a very practical ISO 6425 certified dive watch that is rated to the expected 200m water resistance and has a handy, matching white rubber strap as well.

Again, the dial is white but not very contrasting with white hour markers and lumed hands. There is an almost inconspicuous date window at 4 o’clock

The hypoallergenic titanium case has a curved taper towards the crown, which is also mimicked in the bezel on the other side. And there is an interesting angled cut for the numbers on the bezel, which I find makes it a lot harder to read.

Overall, if you are after an affordable Swiss-made white dive watch then this is a decent option.

Specifications

  • Swiss quartz movement
  • Anti-Reflective Sapphire Crystal
  • Two-tone Stainless steel case & bracelet
  • Date window at 3 o'clock
  • Water-resistant: 200m (660 feet)
  • Case size: 44.1 x 13.3 millimeters

Momentum's Unisex M1 Splash Watch

The Momentum M1 Splash is actually a wide range of watches with a whole bunch with white dials. This is just one that I have picked for this review.

It is one of the smallest dive watches you will find with a case diameter of 38mm. So, it could suit a lady or someone with smaller wrists.

It comes with quality components and materials: a Seiko quartz movement and sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating.

There is a protected screw-down crown and 200m water resistance as you would expect on a dive watch.

And what I love about this white dial is that it relatively easy to read with black hands and applied silver hour markers.

Specifications

  • Japanese, Seiko VX32G Quartz movement
  • Sapphire Crystal
  • Stainless steel 316L case and bezel
  • Natural rubber strap
  • Date window at 3 o'clock
  • Water-resistant: 200m (660 feet)
  • Case size: 38 x 11.7mm
Invicta Men's 9404 Pro Diver Collection Automatic Silver-Tone Watch

Invicta Men's Pro Diver

Invicta makes a huge range of watches and their Pro Diver series is well know for it’s quality dive watches rated down to 200m.

This model has a two-tone, unidirectional bezel for timing your dives, and well-lumed pips and hands to read it easily in the dark. However, the lack of contrast in the light is an issue if you ask me.

Invicta has included a cyclops magnifier on the date window at 3 o’clock, which is very Submariner in style. The crystal however is only mineral, so won’t be winning any awards for top-notch materials.

Overall though, this is a solid performer for a dive rated watch.

Specifications

  • Japanese, Seiko NH35A Automatic movement
  • Mineral Crystal
  • Stainless steel 316L case and bracelet
  • Date window at 3 o'clock
  • Water-resistant: 200m (660 feet)
  • Case size: 40 x 14mm
Casio MRW200H Series | Men's Analog Watch | Black/White | Sporty Design | 100 Meter Water Resistance | Date Display | Rotary Bezel | Regular Time Keeping (HR, Min, SEC, PM, Date, Day) | 3 Year Battery

Casio Men's Quartz Dive Watch (MRW-210H-7AVCF)

If you want a super-affordable white dial dive style watch then this plastic model from Casio should be high on your list.

It is a highly legible watch with gray markers on the clean white dial. And the bezel is the opposite – a dark black with white numbers.

In terms of true divers, it does not really fit the bill though. It is water-resistant enough at 100m rating, so you can take it in the water but not diving. The bezel is also bi-directional which is not diving worthy.

In the end, it’s a budget dive watch with a white dial that you can easily replace if you break it.

Specifications

  • Japanese Quartz movement
  • Resin crystal
  • Resin case and strap
  • Day/Date window at 3 o'clock
  • Water-resistance: 100m (330ft)
  • Case Size: 53 x 13.7mm

Casio Women's LRW-200H-2BVCF Steel Dive Watch

This is a super bright and punchy looking dive watch that screams white very loudly. It is intended for the ladies, which might explain why it is so bold. Men are far more subdued in most cases :>

The sizing is also more female-oriented with a 39mm case, which is small for a diver. This Casio is however stainless steel, which is far more durable than the model above.

However, overall, the watch is again not much of a diver with only 100m water resistance and the bi-directional bezel. Although to be fair to Casio it is meant as a fashion piece and not a functional dive watch.

Specifications

  • Japanese quartz movement
  • Mineral Crystal
  • Stainless steel case
  • Plastic strap
  • Date window at 3 o'clock
  • Water-resistant: 50m (165 feet)
  • Case size: 39 x 12mm

Citizen ProMaster Fugu Special Edition (NY0118-11A)

Citizen’s Promaster series is a classic dive watch with all the features we know and love in such a watch.

This is a limited edition of this Citizen model with a very clean black and white style. Again, the dial is not the easiest to read, but that is not why you are buying it, right?

It has well-lumed markers and hands, so will certainly not be tough to see in low light. The bezel is a nicely contrasting black with white markings and the black Polyurethane strap completes the look.

Citizen has placed the crown at 8 o’clock on this watch which makes sense in terms of keeping it from being accidentally knocked, but it is a left-handed watch, which is another rarity like the white dial.

Specifications

  • Japanese automatic movement
  • Sapphire Crystal
  • Stainless steel case
  • Polyurethane strap
  • Day/Date window at 3 o'clock
  • Water-resistant: 200m (660 feet)
  • Case size: 44 millimeters

Breitling Superocean (Ref: A17366D81A1A1)

Heading into deeper and more expensive territory here, the Breitling Superocean is rated to 500m, so is for serious divers only!

Ok, you don’t have to be a diver working on a Norwegian oil rig to own this watch, but it is definitely a masterpiece worth owning.

It comes with all the hallmarks of a true Swiss-made timepiece. There is the Breitling 17 Swiss-made automatic movement with 38hrs power reserve and 25 jewels.

The crystal is glare-proof cambered sapphire, covering a stunning white dial with easy to read blue-outlined, applied markers, with Arabic numerals at 6, 9 and 12 o’clock.

The screw-down crown is guarded and accompanied by a screw-down caseback to ensure the integrity of the 500m water resistance.

Finally, it comes with your choice of a stainless steel bracelet or a matching blue rubber strap, which is handy if you want to take it diving.

Specifications

  • Swiss automatic movement
  • Sapphire Crystal
  • Stainless steel case
  • Steel or Rubber strap
  • Date window at 3 o'clock
  • Water-resistant: 500m (1650 feet)
  • Case size: 42 x 13.3 millimeters

Tag Heuer Aquaracer White Dial (Ref: WAY2013.BA0927)

Another renowned Swiss watchmaker, TAG Heuer has their own dive watch with a white dial here. This Aquaracer is certainly not cheap either, but is more affordable than the Breitling.

It has a commendable pedigree, with a diamond-cut sapphire crystal coated with anti-glare material. The dial has unique horizontal streaks and rhodium-plated hands with bright LumiNova coating for quality glow-in-the-dark readability.

There is a date window, small yes, at 3 o’clock, but it is enhanced by the cyclops window to help magnify it.

Like any decent diver, it is rated to 300m, so you know you can get it more than wet.

Specifications

  • Swiss automatic movement
  • Sapphire Crystal
  • Stainless steel case
  • Steel or Rubber strap
  • Date window at 3 o'clock
  • Water-resistant: 300m (1000 feet)
  • Case size: 43 millimeters
